İlköğretim okullarında müdürlerin yönetsel etkiliği ve okul iklimi ile öğrenci kontrol ideolojileri arasındaki ilişki

Abstract

Ülkemizde yapılan öğrenci kontrol ideolojileri ile ilgili çalışmalara katkı sağlama düşüncesi ile yürütülen bu araştırmanın amacı, ilköğretim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin, öğrenci kontrol ideolojileri ile okul iklimi ve okul müdürlerinin yönetsel etkililiğini algılama düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, Ġnegöl ilçesinde bulunan kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen 296 ilköğretim öğretmeninden oluşmuştur. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak Willower, Eidel ve Hoy (1967) tarafından geliştirilen Öğrenci Kontrol Ġdeolojisi Envanteri (PCI), Richard L. Andrevs (1970) tarafından geliştirilen Washington Müdür Değerlendirme Envanteri (WPEI) ile Halpin ve Croft (1963) tarafından geliştirilen Örgütsel Ġklim Betimleme Anketi (OCDQ) kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde korelasyon, Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis - H testleri t- testi, Varyans analizi (ANOVA) ve Çoklu Karşılaştırma (Multiple Comparisons) testi (Scheffe) uygulanmıştır. Araştırma bulgularından elde edilen sonuçlar genel olarak aşağıdaki gibi özetlenebilir:  Çalışmaya katılan öğretmenler öğrenci kontrol ideolojilerinde çoğunlukla gözetimci kontrol ideolojisine sahiptir.  Okul iklimi boyutlarından sadece öğretmenler arasındaki samimiyet ile öğrenci kontrol ideolojileri arasında ilişki bulunmaktadır.  Müdürlerin yönetsel etkililiği ile öğretmenlerin öğrenci kontrol ideolojisi arasında anlamlı ilişki tespit edilmemiştir.  Müdürlerin yönetsel etkililiği ile okul ikliminin samimiyet boyutu arasında anlamlı ilişki tespit edilmiştir.  Öğretmenlerin öğrenci kontrol ideolojileri ile demografik özellikleri arasındaki ilişki incelenmiş; öğretmelerin görev yaptıkları öğretim kademesi ve branşlarına göre anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir.

The purpose of this study, which aims to make contribution to the research area of pupil control ideologies, is to determine the level of elementary school teachers „perception about the relationship between school principal managerial effectiveness and school climate with pupil control ideologies. The sample of the study consisted of 296 elementary school teachers were chosen by a convenience sampling. As data collection tools the Pupil Control Ideology (PCI) which was developed by Willower, Eidel and Hoy (1967), the Washington Principal Evaluation Inventory (WPEI) which was developed by Richard L. Andrevs (1970) and Organizational Climate Description Questionnaire (OCDQ) which was developed by Halpin and Croft (1963) were used. Correlation, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal- Wallis H tests, analysis of variance (ANOVA) and multiple comparisons tests were used for the analysis of data. The results of research findings can be summarized as follows:  The teachers involved in this study generally have custodial control ideology in their student control ideologies.  There is only a significant relationship between the teacher sincerity with pupil control ideology in the dimension of school climate.  There is no statistically significant relationship between school principal managerial effectiveness and teachers‟ pupil control ideologies.  Although there is statistically significant relationship between school principal managerial effectiveness and all the variables of school climate, there is no significant relationship with sincerity.  Difference between teachers‟ pupil control ideologies with teachers‟ demographic characteristics were examined; there is statistically significant difference between school level and teacher specialization.
