Bu tez, uyarlama eleştirileri ve sorunları etrafında roman-sinema ilişkisi
üzerine kurulu bir çalışmadır. Bu çerçevede roman ve sinemanın tarihsel süreci, dil
ve anlatım unsurları tespit edilerek bu iki anlatının birbirini etkileyen sanatsal
gelişimleri vurgulanmıştır. Uyarlama yaklaşımlarının ele alındığı bu araştırmada
temel uyarlama sorunlarına ilişkin görüşler tespit edilmiştir.
Bu çalışmada ayrıca uyarlamalar açısından 1960-1986’lı yılların kronolojik
değerlendirilmesi yapılarak Türk sinemasında öne çıkan roman uyarlamaları ve bu
yapımlara yansıyan eleştirel bakış açısı saptanmıştır. Araştırmanın son kısmında
klasik yapıtlardan seçilen karşılaştırmalı roman-film analizleriyle teoride ifade edilen
uyarlama problemlerinin, incelenen bu eserlere nasıl yansıdığı tespit edilmiştir.
This thesis is based on novel-cinema relationship from the perspective of
adaptational issues and its critic. In this context, after historical background of the
relations of novel-cinema duo, language and narrative features having been defined,
emphasize is put on the question of how these two different style affect each other in
the process of adaptation and what has been the historical developmental process of
this interrelation. In this work, in which adaptational aproaches have been dealt with,
fundamental adaptational questions are tried to be answered and basic point of views
has been analysed.
In this paper, from the perspective of adaptation, time period between 1960-
86 was taken into consideration in its chronological order. Prominent cinema
adaptations of novels which was produced within this time span and their criticism
are evaluated. At the end of the research, practise, which are seen as the cinematic
adaptation of prominent novels, theoretical issues and influence which exists among
novel-cinema duo are studied and the question of how this interrelation is reflected
on cinematic productions that are mentioned in this paper, is tried to be answered.
