Traverten işlenmesi sırasında karşılaşılan problemler

Abstract

Traverten oluşumundan kaynaklanan yapısı itibarıyla fosilli ve gözenekli bir yapıya sahiptir. Bu yapısı nedeniyle diğer doğal taşlara nazaran, özellikle işlenmesi sırasında daha fazla problemin oluştuğu söylenebilir. Özellikle endüstriyel işlemler sırasında ebatlanmış ürün haline gelene kadar uygulanan işlem süreçlerinin her birinde gerek kullanılan araç ve ekipmanlar gerekse insan faktörleri nedeniyle oluşan sorunların neler olduğunu belirlemek, traverten üretimindeki kaliteyi arttırmaya yardım edebilir. Ürün işleme sırasında oluşan problemlerin hangi işlem aşamalarında yoğunlaştığını belirleyerek o probleme odaklanmak, hatalı ürün oranının azaltılması için önemlidir. Ülkemizde traverten üretimi ve traverten işleyen işletmelerin sayısı azımsanamayacak kadar fazladır. Dolayısıyla traverten işleyen işletmelerin standartlarını daha yukarılara çıkarmak milli servet kaybını en aza indirecektir. Bu nedenle bu çalışmada, traverten işleyen işletmelerde hataların hangi ürün işleme aşamalarında olduğunun, firmaların üretim sorumluları ile bire bir görüşerek belirlenebileceği düşünülmüştür. Bu amaçla sorunları belirlemeye yönelik anket soruları hazırlanmıştır. Soruların bir kısmı işletmeyi tanımaya bir kısmı da sorunları belirlemeye yöneliktir. Traverten; Doğal Taşlar arasında farklılık göstermektedir. Bu farklılığından dolayı endüstriyel işlemler sırasında karşılaşılan sorunlarda farklılık göstermektedir. Bu farklılıklardan kaynaklanan sorunları incelemek amacıyla 44 firma ile birebir görüşülerek anket çalışması yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda, traverten yüzey işleme işlemleri olan cilalama, honlama, eskitme ve dolgu aşamalarındaki problemler ile ilgili tüm firmalardan alınan veriler istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sorulara verilen cevapların anlamlılığını test etmek için çeşitli hipotez testleri hazırlanmış ve tutum değişiklikleri incelenmiştir. Kısacası, travertenin işlenmesi aşamalarında sorunların nelerden kaynaklandığı sorusuna cevap aranmıştır.

Travertine has a porous and fossilized structure because of its formation. It can be expressed that because of its structure, comparing to natural stones, more problems are encountered especially during processing period. Particularly, during the industrial processes, in each phases of production until forming the product, determining the problems caused by human factor and also used equipment and machines might help to increase the quality in producing travertine. Focusing on the problem itself and determining in what phases of processing the product the problems centralizes are critical issues to decrease the amount of imperfect products. The production of travertine in Turkey seems to reach an unignorable amount and the number of companies processing are in great numbers. Consequently, increasing the standards of companies processing travertine will minimize the loss of national wealth. Therefore, in this study, it is assumed that determining on what phases of the process the problems occur in these companies will be possible by applying questionnaires to the production managers during the visits to the companies. In order to conduct the study, a questionnaire is developed including some questions to identify the company and some to clarify the problems. Travertine has a unique and different place among natural stones. Due to its difference, the problems occurred during industrial processing are also different. In order to investigate those problems, a study including a questionnaire was conducted interviewing 44 companies. At the end, the obtained values about the problems at the stages of polishing, honing, oldening and filling which are the phases of processing travertine were analysed statistically. In order to measure the reliability of the responses for the questions, various test hypotheses were prepared and changes in perceptions were analysed. Briefly, the answer for the question of what are the sources of problems occurring during the phases of processing was searched.
