Bu tez dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, tezin özeti verilmiştir. İkinci
bölümde, L. M. Batten (1986), R. Kaya (1992), L. M. Batten ve A. Beutelspacher
This thesis consists of four sections. Summary of the thesis is given in the first
chapter. In the second chapter, the basic concepts, definitions, propositions and the
theorems taken from L. M. Batten (1986), R. Kaya (1992), L. M. Batten and A.
Beutelspacher (1993) are given. Some theorems are proved. Complements of some
structures in the linear spaces are examined in the third chapter.
Some linear spaces are examined in terms of consecutive line degrees in the fourth
chapter. In that section, it is shown that linear spaces with consecutive two line degrees
are a punctured affine plane, a punctured projective plane, an affine plane added a point
at infinity, an affine plane extracted a line and all its points except one point of that
line, a projective plane extracted a triangle, Nwankpa-Shrikhande plane or a pseudocomplement
of two lines in a projective plane. It is shown that some of linear spaces
with consecutive three line degrees are a projective plane extracted an arc or the
Nwankpa-Shrikhande plane. It is also shown that linear spaces with non-consecutive
two line degrees are the pseudo-complement of a pencil in a projective plane or the
pseudo-complement of a maximal arc in a projective plane which has an line deleted.
