Yapısında iki element bulunan çeşitli saydam iletken oksit (SİO) ince filmler:
SnO2, In2O3, ZnO, safsızlık katkılanmış In2O3 (In2O3:SnO2, veya ITO) ve safsızlık
katkılanmış ZnO (ZnO:Al ve ZnO:In) optoelektronik aletlerde, güneş enerji sisteminde
geçiş elementi, OLED’ lerde, LCD ekranlarda geçiş elektrodu gibi pratikte kullanılan
malzemelerdir.
Two elements of the structure of the various transparent conducting oxide
(TCO) thin films: SnO2, In2O3, ZnO, impurity doped In2O3 (In2O3: SnO2, or ITO) and
impurity doped ZnO (ZnO: Al and ZnO: In) are used materials in practice such as in the
optoelectronic devices, transition element in the solar energy system, transition
electrode in the OLED, LCD screens. In this thesis study, indium tin oxide (ITO),
indium zinc oxide (IZO), and aluminum zinc oxide (AZO) thin films which belong to
the group of n-type transparent conducting were growth with different thicknesses on
glass, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and silicon (Si) substrates by using Thermionic
Vacuum Arc (TVA) method and RF magnetron sputtering method. The effects of the
film thickness, substrate diversity and production technique (TVA and RF) on the
electrical, optical, surface properties and crystallization of the film were studied.
Thicknesses and some of the optical parameters of produced films were determined by
spectroscopic ellipsometer and interferometric measurements. Differences of substrate,
the use of methods and the film thickness greatly affect especially resistivity and optical
properties of the film were determined from the results. All the produced ITO, IZO and
AZO thin films have amorphous structure. While increase in film thickness was
observed to cause an increase in the range of band gap for ITO thin films. Electrical
measurements were done by using the four probe method. In the results of electrical
measurements, resistivity and the sheet resistance values of 10-5 Ω-cm and 10-5 Ω/□
were calculated at room temperature. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional surface
topographies and surface roughness of thin films were investigated by Atomic Force
Microscopy (AFM). Surface properties of the thin films were examined by Field
Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM). Energy Dispersive X-Ray
Spectrometer (EDS) elemental analysis was performed.
