Her perde elemanın üst,
Geleneksel
ahşap kalıbın yüzey suyunu emdiği ve beton yüzeyi sertleştirdiği görülmüştür.
Even if ready-mixed concrete is optimized for highest compressive strength, concrete
quality is decreased because of site conditions, insufficient and improper curing and
wrong placing methods. In this thesis effect of mould material, placing method, rebar
spacing and environmental effects to compressive strength of concrete is studied.
As mould material conventional mould wood and plywood is used in
experiments. The 9 reinforced concrete walls which have small rebar spacing are
cast by using C25/30 and C30/37 class concrete mixtures with known slump
values. Environment temperature is recorded daily during maturing. Site curing
is applied to some of the specimens by watering the surface of reinforced concrete
elements and some of the specimens are not cured for determining negative effects
of this case to concrete. Also in some of the specimens, a portable vibrator is used
for placing the concrete and in other specimens concrete is placed improperly.
For determining different site conditions to concrete, concrete circular cores are
taken from the reinforced concrete walls after 14 and 28 days. Three cores are
taken from each specimen from top, middle and bottom regions. Compressive test
results of these core specimens are compared with results of the specimens which
are taken during casting and cured in laboratory conditions.
It is concluded from the experiments that; In reinforced concrete
elements with small rebar spacing compressive strengths are lower than RC
elements with normal bar spacing. And also it is observed that compressive
strength of the concrete is not affected by the mold type at all but Schmidt
hammer results can vary due to mold type. It is seen that conventional wood
molds absorb the surface water and hardens the surface of concrete.
