Today, technological investigations are focused on ZnO semiconducting films with low cost, good quality and having improved luminescence efficiency. In this work, production and electrical, optical, surface, structural and luminescent characterization of Al doped ZnO films has been aimed. With respect to this aim, ZnO films have been deposited at 35050C substrate temperature by Ultrasonic Spray Pyrolysis technique which is economic and feasible when compared to other various deposition techniques. Structural properties of ZnO films such as crystalline structure and preferential orientation have been investigated by x-ray powder diffraction technique. Thicknesses and optical constants of ZnO:Al films have been determined by spectroscopic ellipsometry. Transmittance and absorbance spectra have been taken by UV-VIS spectrophotometer and optical band gap values have been calculated. Surface morphology of the films has been investigated by atomic force microscopy and luminescent properties have been examined by fluorescence spectrometer. Finally, application potential of ZnO:Al films in opto-electronic applications has been investigated.
