This doctoral dissertation consists of nine chapters, focusing on the finding the numerical solutions of AD, RLW, Burgers, Fisher and NLS equations by using the trigonometric Bspline least squares method. In the introduction part, the importance of waves and wave equations in science, why there are many analytical methods for solving these equations, why numerical solution methods are needed, and the reasons for using trigonometric Bspline functions in the solution method are explained, and the scope and purpose of the thesis are explained
In the following chapters, numerical solutions of AD, RLW, Burgers, Fisher and NLS
equations using the trigonometric Bspline
least squares method, respectively, in order to
make comparisons with previous studies, by working on various test problems. The adequacy
and validity of the method has been tested. In addition, the results obtained were interpreted
with the help of graphics and charts.
In the last two sections, the data obtained in the study were summarized and discussed,
and suggestions were made for further studies
In the second part of the thesis, information about the solution method with literature
review of the equations to be solved is given. Then, after mentioning the waves studied and
the areas of use of these waves, basic information about the weighted residual method, finite
element methods, spline functions and trigonometric Bspline
functions are given. Finally, a
definition has been made for AD, RLW, Burgers, Fisher and NLS equations
