This Master's thesis consists of seven chapters. In this thesis, B-spline functions
from the first order to the tenth order are derived and their graphs are drawn over their
supports interval. The continuity and differentiability properties of spline functions are
examined. All B-spline functions on a problem are compared.
In the first chapter, general information about the thesis is given and the aim of the
thesis is explained. In the next chapter, previous studies with Spline functions are
examined.
In the third chapter, some basic terms and definition of B-spline function are
mentioned. In order to calculate higher order B-spline functions, the recursion formula is
given.
In the fourth chapter, Linear B-spline is calculated by using the zeroth order Bspline function and then B-spline functions from the linear to the tenth order are derived.
In the fifth chapter, the comparison of B-spline functions on a problem is made.
In the last two chapters, the obtained results are discussed, and some suggestions
are given for future studies
