In this study, the aim is to reveal the competence of learning to learn among student competencies in science and other education programs with the Flipped Classroom Model. In the science class, the students’ competency to Learning to learn was examined by teaching the experimental group among the 8th grade students within the Flipped Classroom Model.
Methodology: The experiment taking place in the 2019-2020 academic year in Pendik, Istanbul involves 8th graders continuing their studies. 53 students in total were divided into a study group of 27 and a control group of 26. In the research, data was collected and analyzed with quantitative and qualitative methods. Qualitative data was gathered from pre-interviews, final interviews and journal while quantitative data was collected with the "Learning to Learn Competency Scale" and the "Personal Information Questionnaire". An independent sample t-test (pre-test, final test, semi-experimental de-sign) was used in the quantitative data analysis, whereas the Shapiro-Wilks test was used to determine that the success scores of the quantitative data showed a homogenous dist-ribution. Content analysis was used in the qualitative data analysis.
Findings: When assessing the experiments’ quantitative findings, the results showed no significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores of 8th grade stu-dents' Learning to Learn Competencies for the control group before and after the imple-mentation. In addition to this, a statistically significant difference in favor of the final test was found between the pre-test and final test of the Experimental Group's Learning to Learn Competencies, which were performed before and after implementation. When the qualitative findings of the study were examined, it was indicated that the opinions about the implementation of the Flipped Classroom Model in the Science course were positive. In line with the students' preliminary opinions, they specified opinions in nine different

topics; use of technology, watching video lessons at home, contributing to lessons, com-municating while watching a video lesson, choosing the science lesson topic, creating video content, activity homework at school, working in groups or individually at school, and thoughts about the method. In line with the final opinions of the experimental group students, they pointed out their opinions in seven different topics: thoughts about the met-hod, contribution to learning to learn, contribution to academic achievement, advantages and disadvantages, desire to apply the method, implementation in other subjects, and app-lication in other disciplines. In addition, the experimental group students expressed their opinions in the student diaries during the six-week process.
Conclusion and Suggestions: As a result of the quantitative findings of the rese-arch, a statistically significant difference in favor of the final test was observed between the pre-test and final test scores of the experimental group. As a result of the qualitative data, it was observed that the preliminary opinions of all groups were positive about the FC model, and the experimental group students found the Flipped Classroom model po-sitive as a result of the data collected from the students’ diaries and the final interview. On the other hand, the experimental group students indicated that they realized they could learn by themselves with the Flipped Classroom model. It has been suggested that studies which include activity contents that can be used in the Flipped Classroom model could be done
