Lineer olmayan diferensiyel denklemlerin matematiksel özellikleri uygulamalı
matematik alanının önemli araştırma konularındandır. Bu tezde öncelikle, bazı kısmi
diferensiyel denklemlerin (KDD) integrallenebilirlik özelliği Painlevé metodu (WTC
algoritması) ile araştırılmıştır. Ele alınan denklemler; (2+1)-boyutlu Korteweg-de Vries tipi
(KdV4) denklemi, (1+1)-boyutlu genelleştirilmiş Boussinesq denklem sistemi (GBQS) ve
(2+1)-boyutlu Boiti-Leon-Manna-Pempinelli (BLMP) denklemidir.
Investigation of mathematical properties of nonlinear differential equations is one of
the major research topics in applied mathematics. In this thesis, the integrability of some
partial differential equations (PDEs) is primarily investigated through the use of Painlevé
method (also known as the WTC algorithm). The following are the PDEs discussed;
(2+1)-dimensional Korteweg-de Vries Type (KdV4) equation, (1+1)-dimensional
generalized Boussinesq equation system (GBQS) and (2+1)-dimensional
Boiti-Leon-Manna-Pempinelli (BLMP) equation. In order to determine whether or not the
equations have Painlevé properties, Maple is employed for the algebraic operations
pertaining to it. As a result, it is found that KdV4 and BLMP have the Painlevé properties
and therefore they are integrable; however it is observed that GBQS does not have the
Painlevé property since it could not satisfy the compatibility conditions. Nonetheless, this
result does not guarantee that the equation is not integrable. Integrability should still be
investigated by other methods.
In order to facilitate the understanding of the complex physical structure of the PDEs,
it is necessary to find their exact solutions. The exact solutions to the KdV4 and BLMP are
obtained by generalized Kudryashov method. The Jacobi elliptic function method is used to
obtain the exact solutions of the Boussinesq equation system. To find the exact solutions of
the equations, the corresponding methods have been implemented on Maple and the equations
are solved. The results subsequently obtained are solutions containing hyperbolic (soliton)
and trigonometric (periodic) functions.
Conservation laws also play a significant role in integrability and soliton solution
research. Finally, in this thesis, an effort is made to determine the conservation laws of
equations by the multiplier method, which is also originally known as the ’variational
method’ . For this purpose, GeM software package for Maple, written by Cheviakov, is
used. As a result, owing to the existence of arbitrary functions of the KDV4 and BLMP
equations, it is concluded that an infinite multitude of conservation laws are found. GBQS
has an explicit conservation vector. If there are many conservation laws in a PDE, it
indicates that it’s most likely integrable and solvable
