Tıbbi cerrahi gerektiren birçok alanda sert dokuların kesilmesi veya delinmesi
gerekmektedir. İnsan bedeninin oldukça korozif etkilere sahip olması bu alanda
kullanılabilecek kesici ve delici aletlerin kısıtlanmasına neden olmaktadır. Ayrıca
kullanılan aletlerin çalıştırılmaları sırasında canlı dokunun hasarına neden olmaması da
gerekmektedir.
malzemeler cerrahi uygulamalarda kemik delme amacına uygun matkap formunda
In many areas requiring medical surgery, hard tissues need to be cut or drilled. The
highly corrosive effects of the human body lead to the restriction of the cutting and drilling
tools that can be used in this field. Similarly, tools used must not cause damage to the
living tissue during operation.
Within the scope of this study, a research was carried out to improve the
mechanical and medical qualities of the metal cutting tools which are used for the removal
of the hard tissues by the need of surgical intervention.
Within the scope of the study, B-doped alloys which have not been tried before by
SPS method were produced from AISI 420 stainless steel material and the materials with
different boron amount were produced in the form of drill suitable for bone drilling
purpose in surgical applications. It has been found that drill bits made of AISI 420 stainless
steel material with boron additive gives better results in terms of both wear properties and
thermal properties than drill bits without boron additive
