reaksiyonlarda elde edilen ürünlerin spektroskopik verileri DMSO-H+
katalizörlüğündekilerle aynı olup, verimlerinin düşük olduğu gözlendi.
Sentezlenen ürünlerin yapıları kütle, IR, UV, 13C-NMR, 1H-NMR ve elementel
analiz ile aydınlatıldı.
Reaksiyon koşullarımızda iyodun fenolik Schiff bazlarının (2, 3, 4, 5) hem A
orjinaldir. (18, 19, 21) ise literatürde mevcut olup, reaksiyon yöntemimiz tamamen
orjinaldir.
In this study, Schiff bases (2, 3, 4, 5) that were formed of 2-
hydroxybenzaldehyde (1) aniline and (2'-,3'-,4'-methoxy) substituted anilines were
reacted with I2 at the catalyst of DMSO-H+
and natural zeolite clinoptilolite (in
Toluene) at 80 oC, at pH= 5 with the aim of forming Schiff bases (6, 7, 8, 9) that were
substituted with iodine and at certain times reactions were controlled by TLC. Reaction
time in DMSO-H+
is 2 hours and in natural zeolite clinoptilolite is 24 hours.
In addition to this study, benzene and its derivatives (10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16)
were reacted with I2 at the catalyst of DMSO-H+
and natural zeolite clinoptilolite (in
Toluene) at pH= 5 with the aim of forming iodine substituted products (17, 18, 19, 20,
21) and at certain times reactions were controlled by TLC.
At the end of the reactions, products (6, 7, 8, 9, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21) were
synthesized.
The spectroscopic datas of the products synthesized at all reactions at the
catalyst of clinoptilolite are same with products at the catalyst of DMSO-H+
but their
yields were lower.
The structures of the products were established with Mass, UV, 1H-NMR,13CNMR spectra and elemental analysis.
Under our reaction conditions iodine was substituted to both A and B rings of
the phenolic Schiff bases (2, 3, 4, 5).
It is known from the literature that the electrofilic aromatic iodine substitution is
a difficult reaction. Thus, our reaction method and the products (6, 7, 8, 9) we isolated
are compeletely original and the products (18, 19, 21) are in the literature.
