In this study, we propose computational approach test based on Wald and score
statistics, Bartlett corrected Wald and score test and standardized Wald and score test for the
homogeneity of k inverse Gaussian scale parameters. The distribution of Wald and score
test statistics is approximated as chisquare distribution with degrees of freedom k − 1 for
large sample sizes. However, in small sample sizes it results in an unsatisfactory
convergence. Therefore, in this study, firstly Wald and score test statistics are obtained.
Since these test statistics are theoretically same for this problem, this statistic is shown as
W S. Secondly, W S statistic is adapted into computational approach test. Thirdly, Bartlett
correction is applied to W S statistic and finally W S statistic is been standardized. The
performances of the proposed tests are compared with the existing tests via extensive Monte
Carlo simulations. According to the results of the simulation study, it is seen that the
proposed tests outperform the existing tests in all settings especially when sample sizes are
small and unequal. In addition, the tests used in this study are applied to real data set
