The aim of this thesis is to study parallel surfaces of ruled Weingarten surfaces
in Euclid space. In the introduction of the study, the historical developments of ruled
surfaces, parallel surfaces and Weingarten surfaces in Euclid space are explained.
In the second chapter, some important definitions and theorems about the ruled
surfaces, parallel surfaces and Weingarten surfaces have been presented.
In the third chapter, the geodesic curvature, normal curvature and geodesic
torsion of the image of a curve on a surface which stands on a parallel surface of that
surface have been computed. Besides, curvature of an image of a curve which is on a
parallel surface has been computed, and then the Meusnier theorem on parallel surfaces
has been given. It has been obtained that parallel surfaces of a non-developable ruled
surface are not ruled surfaces by using fundamental forms of the surface.
As a result in the fourth chapter, it has been obtained that parallel surfaces of a
ruled Weingarten surface are also Weingarten surfaces. It has been shown that the
parallel surfaces of a developable ruled surface are ruled Weingarten surfaces.
