tolerans (TOL), verim (YI), verim stabilitesi (YSI), verimlilik ortalaması (MP),
gösterdiğini, Remzibey’in kuru koşullara diğerlerinden daha iyi tolerans gösterdiğini
ortaya koymuştur.
This study was carried out at Agricultural Faculty of Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversity in
2006 and 2007 growing season to determine affect of irrigated and none irrigated
conditions on the yield and yield components of safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.).
Irrigated plots were watered at flowering and grain filling stages. Safflower cultivars
Yenice, Dinçer and Remzibey were used as research materials. Most of the agronomic
characteristics of cultivars were effected positively by irrigation. The response of yield
components were varied depending on growing seasons. In general, the genotypes
differed in most of the investigated traits. Stress susceptibility (SSI), stress tolerance
(STI), tolerance(TOL), yield (YI), yield stability (YSI), mean productivity(MP),
geometric mean productivity (GMP) were calculated based on yield components under
non-irrigated and irrigated conditions. SSI is suggested as usefull indicators for
safflower breeding, where the stress is severe. The results showed that Yenice performs
well under irrigated conditions while Remzibey tolerates better than others to dry
conditions.
