Bu çalısmada, yeni ilköğretim programı ısığında problem çözme stratejileri öğretiminin
altıncı sınıf öğrencilerinin problem çözme basarılarına etkisi arastırılmıstır. Arastırmanın
çalısma grubunu 2009–2010 eğitim- öğretim yılı güz yarıyılında Bursa ili Đnegöl
ilçesinde Ticaret ve Sanayi Odası Đlköğretim Okulu’ndan rastgele seçilmis 12 ilköğretim
altıncı sınıf öğrencisi olusturmaktadır. Çalısmada nitel ve nicel arastırma yöntemlerinin
beraber uygulanmasını içeren karma yöntem kullanılmıstır. Verilerin toplanmasında,
arastırmacı tarafından gelistirilen ön test ve son test olarak kullanılan problem çözme
basarı testi ile çalısma yapraklarından yararlanılmıstır. Arastırmada ön testin
uygulanmasından sonra, gruba problem çözme stratejileri hakkında bilgilendirme
yapılmıs ve sonrasında bu stratejilerin kullanılacağı problemlerin yer aldığı çalısma
yaprakları 8 hafta (18 ders saati) süreyle uygulanmıstır. Arastırmanın sonunda, son test
uygulanmıs ve öğrencilerin uygulama hakkındaki görüslerine basvurulmustur.
Arastırmanın sonucunda, çalısma yaprakları destekli problem çözme stratejileri
öğretiminin öğrencilerin problem çözme basarılarını arttırdığı sonucuna varılmıstır.
In this study, the effect of teaching the problem solving strategies to sixth grade students
in accordance with the new primary education program to their success was investigated.
The work group of the study consists of 12 sixth grade students which were randomly
selected from the Ticaret ve Sanayi Odasi Elementary School in Inegöl county of Bursa
province during 2009-2010 academic years. Both qualitative and quantitative methods
were used in the study. The problem solving success test, which was developed by the
author was used as pre-test and post-test for data collection, and the worksheets were
used in the data collection process. After the application of the pre-test subjects were
informed about the problem solving strategies, and in the following 8 weeks (18 class
hours) the worksheets that contained problems in the salvation of which the strategies
would be used were applied. At the end of the study post-test was applied and students
were consulted for their opinion related to the application. As a result, it was concluded
that teaching problem solving strategies supported by worksheets increased the success
of the students.
