Adsorban derisiminin kalsine alünitin adsorpsiyon kapasitesine etkisi 0,4-
2,0 g/L derisim aralıgında incelenmis ve maksimum adsorpsiyon verimi 1,6 g/L
adsorban derisiminde % 85,43 olarak bulunmustur. Adsorpsiyon dengesine 30 dk.’da
ulasılmıstır. Sıcaklık arttıkça alünitin adsorpsiyon kapasitesi artmıs ve kursun(II)
iyonlarının adsorpsiyonunun endotermik oldugu belirlenmistir. Adsorpsiyon denge
verileri Langmuir, Freundlich ve Dubinin-Radushkevich izoterm modelleri kullanılarak
çıkartılmıstır. Kalsine alünite kursun(II) adsorpsiyonunun, Langmuir izoterm modeline
In this study, the adsorption of lead(II) ions from aqueous solutions onto
calcined alunite was investigated as a function of initial pH, adsorbent concentration,
contact time and temperature. The maximum adsorption capacity was observed at pH
of 5.0. The effect of adsorbent dosage on the adsorption capacity of calcined alunite
was studied in the range of 0.4-2.0 g/L adsorbent concentration and the maximum
adsorption yield was found as 85.43% at the adsorbent concentration of 1.6 g/L. The
adsorption equilibrium was attained in 30 min. The adsorption capacity of calcined
alunite for lead(II) ions was increased with an increase in the temperature and the
adsorption of lead(II) ions was endothermic in nature. The equilibrium adsorption data
were extracted by using adsorption isotherm models namely Langmuir, Freundlich and
Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherms. The lead(II) ions adsorption onto calcined alunite
was fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm model than the other isotherm models.
The separation and preconcentration potential of alunite for the trace lead(II)
ions from aqueous media was also examined in this study. It is based on the adsorption
of lead(II) ions onto a column filled with calcined alunite, followed by the elution with
10 mL of 0.1 mol/L nitric acid and determination by flame atomic absorption
spectrometry (FAAS) without interference of the matrix. Different factors including,
type of eluent, sample volume and matrix effects for preconcentration were
investigated. Good relative standard deviation (5.4%) and high recovery (>95%) were
obtained. The enrichment factor and analytical detection limit were found as 5.0 and
0.16 mg/L, respectively.
