Bu arastırmanın konusu; Tek Partili dönemde Türkiye’de açılan mimari yarısmalar
aracılıgıyla, Türkiye’deki mimarlık ortamının incelenmesidir. Amaç; yarısmaların,
ideolojiyle iliskisi üzerinden, sosyal yasamın yeni biçimlerini arastırmaktır.
Bunun için benimsenen yöntem su olmustur: Toplumsal bir kabuk niteligindeki
ideoloji kavramının, yasamın en belirgin örgütleyicisi oldugu saptanmıstır. Tek Partili
dönemde, sosyal yasamın belirleyicileri niteligindeki Halkevleri’nin analizi üzerinde
durulmaktadır. Sosyal yasam, Halkevleri ve mimari yarısmalar arasında kurulan iliski,
Bursa Halkevi Mimari Proje Yarısması üzerinden incelenmektedir.
lk bölümde Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin benimsedigi ideolojiyle, mimari yarısmalar
arasındaki iliski incelenmistir. Yöneticilerin ve mimarın, yarısmaları algılama biçimi
gözden geçirilmistir. Olusturulan sartnameler ve mimarın yaklasımı ele alınmıstır.
kinci bölümde gündelik yasamdan devlet politikalarına kadar genis bir yelpazeye
sahip olan ideoloji kavramı incelenmistir. Tarihsel süreklilige sahip olan ideolojik
yapıların bireyi ve toplumu biçimlendirmesi ele alınmıstır. Devletin ideolojisi
irdelenmistir.
Üçüncü bölümde Türkiye Cumhuriyeti’nin Tek Partili dönemde ürettigi politikalar
üzerinde durulmus ve mimarlık ortamının bu politikalarla teması incelenmistir.
Dördüncü bölümde ideolojinin kapsadıgı, sosyal yasamın yeni biçimleri ve
Halkevleri’nin bu yeni biçimlere bakısı incelenmistir.
Sonuç bölümünde mimarlıgın edindigi karmasık yapının kendi bünyesinin uzantısı
olan ortamlar tarifleyerek gelistirilebilecegi degerlendirmesi yapılmaktadır.
The topic of this research is the analysis of the architectural atmosphere in the single
party period by the means of the architectural competitions helded in this period in
Turkey. The aim is to search the new forms of social life over the relationship of the
competitions with ideology.
The method taken for this examination is as follows: It is determined that ideology,
as a social shell is the main organizer of life. In the single party period, the People’s
Houses, as an importing determining factor of the social life, and their existence
dynamics are discussed and analyzed. The relations between social life, the People’s
Houses and the architectural competitions are researched within the example of Bursa
People’s House Architectural Project Competition.
In the first chapter, the relation between the official ideology in Turkish Republic
and the architectural competitions is analyzed. The administrator’s and the architect’s
own perception forms for the competitions is studied. The specifications prepared for
competitions and the architect’s approaches are examined.
In the second chapter, the ideology concept which has a wide spread from the casual
life to government policies, also it is historically continuous and shaping out the
individual and the society, is studied. The relationship between the state and the
ideology is discussed.
In the third chapter, the policies of the Turkish Republic developed in the single
party period and the interaction of the architectural environment with these policies are
examined.
In the fourth chapter, new forms of social life in the scope of ideology and the
People’s Houses’ approach to these new forms.
In the conclusion part, an evaluation is made that the complex structure which
architecture gained can be developed by describing environments that are extensions of
its own structure.
