It is very important to determine the correct method of analysis in order to obtain
reliable results in the solution of a statistical research problem. Furthermore, the
assumptions of the applied statistical method must be met. The multivariate variance
analysis (MANOVA) technique is often used to test the equality of the mean of more than
two groups of multivariate. In order to solve MANOVA problems, it is necessary to
provide assumptions of multivariate normal distribution and homogeneity of variance covariance matrices. When the homogeneity assumption of variance-covariance matrices is
not provided, the problem concerned is defined as the Behrens-Fisher problem. When
known analysis methods for solving Behrens-Fisher problems are applied, incorrect results
can be obtained. Therefore, new test statistics need to be investigated.
The aim of this thesis study is to investigate alternative analysis approaches for
solving one-way MANOVA problems when the homogeneity assumptions of variance covariance matrices is not provided. It is also aimed at comparing the performances of the
test statistics proposed under various experimental conditions. For this purpose, the
analysis approaches presented for multivariable Behrens-Fisher problems are examined
conceptually and theoretically. A simulation study was conducted to compare the
performances of the test statistics. As a result of the simulation study, it was observed that
the performance of the test statistics changed according to the experimental conditions
examined. Especially balanced and unbalanced changes in the number of dependent
variables and observation sizes affect the performance of the test statistics very much. In
addition, a numerical data set included in the RStudio package program was used to apply
the examined test statistics on a real problem
