In this eightchapters study, although there are four generalizations of a standart metric
space, namely 2metric, Dmetric, Quasimetric and G metric we try to give a more general
meaning to standart metric with Gnmetrik space and after that some fixed point theorems
are given.
In the first and second chapters, the historical development of the concept of distance
function which is defined by Fréchet in 1906 and later called metric by F.Hausdorff and
some short information was given about the 2metric, Dmetric which was claimed to be
generalized metric over time.
In the third chapter, some basic definitions, control functions, metric and topological
structures are mentioned.
In the fourth chapter, information about Gmetric space has been given and some
features of Gmetric space have been mentioned.
In the fifth chapter, Gn metric space is defined as the newest and most general
approach, also given some properties and informations about it’s proporties and it’s
topology.
In the sixth chapter, some fixed point theorems are given respectively standart, G metric and Gnmetric. And only proofs in the Gnmetric are given unless necessary.
In the seventh and eighth chapters, results and discussion along with conclusion and
recommendations can be found
