Michel Foucault'nun heterotopya kavramı ve esentepe mahalles

Abstract

Bu çalışma Fransız düşünür ve psikanaliz uzmanı Michel Foucault’nun “Heterotopya” kavramından yola çıkarak özellikle modern idealin neden olduğu yığılma sonucunda ortaya çıkan yersizyurtsuzlaşma durumunu ele almaktadır. Bu noktadan hareketle aynı zamanda bahsi geçen konu modernleşmeden bu yana toplumsal bir olay olması dolayısıyla sanatın da konularından biri haline gelmiştir. Ortaya konulan bu araştırmada dünyanın özellikle sanayileşme açısından önde gelen ve bu sebeple kısa sürede hızla kentleştiği görülen bölgelerinde ortaya çıktığı düşünülen yersizyurtsuzlaşma sorunu incelenmiştir. Sonucunda ise Michel Foucault’nun heterotopya kavramı ile tanımladığı heterotopik mekân ve bölgeler araştırmacının öznel yorumlarıyla desteklenerek örneklendirilip tartışmaya açılmıştır. Sonrasında ise sanatın hemen her dalında örneklendirilmeye tabi tutulan heterotopya ve yersizyurtsuzlaşma durum ve kavramı etrafında üretimde bulunan birkaç sanatçı seçilen eserleri çerçevesinde (toplumsal, sosyal, politik ya da kültürel ölçütler bazında) incelenerek bir takım çıkarımlar yapılmıştır. Yapılan çıkarımlar sonucunda ise konu üzerine yapılmış teorik çalışmayı destekleyecek bir çalışmayla sonuca gidilmesi uygun görülmüştür. Çalışma esnasında sosyoloji, felsefe, tarih gibi birtakım teorik alandan faydalanılmış ve oluşan yersizyurtsuzlaşma sonucu meydana gelen heterotopik mekânların vücuda geliş şartları saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Elde edilen birtakım verilerin ışığında üretilen bir dizi üretimle de çalışma nihayete erdirilmiştir

Heterotopia is a concept elaborated by philosopher and psychoanalysis expert Michel Foucault to describe, especially due to the effects of modern ideals, deterritorialization. From this viewpoint, since modernization is a social construct, this topic has been subject as a branch of Art. In this study, the problem of deterritorialization, which is thought to arise in regions of the world, which are prominent in terms of industrialization and seen to be rapidly urbanized in a short time, has been examined. As a result, Foucault’s heterotopia concept has been supported by the researcher and exemplified with comments, and opened for discussion about the conceptual heterotopic places and areas. Afterwards, in almost all branches of Art, where heterotopia and deterritorialization have been examined, a couple of artists were studied within the framework of their chosen works (on the basis of social, social political, or cultural criteria) and some inferences were made. Eventually of the inferences made, it was deemed appropriate to come to a conclusion with a study that would support the theoretical study of the subject. During the study, some theoretical fields such as sociology, philosophy, and history were used and the conditions that made the heterotopic spaces due to deterritorialization come to life were tried to be determined.
