Adequate and balanced consumption of nutrients, that the body needs for
healthy life, defines nutrition. It is a behavior that needs to be done consciously as one
of the basic elements of growth and development. Consuming more or less of the
nutrients, to the extent of need, causes growth and development disorders. In order to
maintain a healthy life, it is very important to provide nutrition education in the
preschool period when the first habits are acquired. There are four main nutrient groups
that preschool children need to take daily in order to eat healthy. These groups are
meat-egg-legume group, milk group, vegetable-fruit group, bread and cereal groups.
In this study, a four page information form was developed over the vegetable-fruit
group. In line with this study, which aims to produce an exemplary three-dimensional
animated film for healthy nutrition of preschool children, a four-page information form
with 26 fruits, 19 vegetables, six demographic questions and an open-ended question
has been developed to apply to the parents of preschool children. A questionnaire study
was conducted with ten educational institutions affiliated to the Kutahya Provincial
Directorate of National Education, and eating preferences of preschool children were
determined according to the data obtained from 363 information forms. 450 of the 632
distributed information forms were answered. 87 out of 450 information forms were
invalid. Through the remaining 363 information forms, lyrics were written explaining
the features and benefits of five of the vegetables and fruits that the children were not
eating or ate, and a music infrastructure compatible with these words was created. A
sample animation film was prepared for the nutrition of preschool children, using the
three-dimensional animation technique, which included vegetable-fruit characters and
the prepared song. Prepared three-dimensional animation film and production phases
were intended to be a sample of animation work towards healthy nutrition of preschool
children in the future
