Bu çalısmada Hafif Kognitif Bozukluk (HKB)
tanısı alan hastalarda memantinin etkinliği ve güvenirliliği arastırılmıstır. Çalısmaya, ilaç alan
HKB’si olan (n=20), ilaç almayan HKB’li (n=10) ve sağlıklı gönüllülerden (n=10) olusan üç
grup olmak üzere toplam 40 kisi katılmıstır. HKB tanısında Petersen kriterleri kullanılmıstır.
Tüm katılımcılar belirli aralıklarla nöropsikolojik testlerle izlenmis ve çalısmanın
baslangıcında ve sonunda serebral SPECT çektirilmistir. HKB tanısı alan hastalarda özellikle
bellek ve yürütücü fonksiyonlarda bozukluk saptandı. Memantin alan grupta kırksekiz haftalık
takipte özellikle fonksiyonel alanın değerlendirildiği Blessed demans-yetenek kaybında,
global kognitif alanın değerlendirildiği kısa mental durum testinde (KMDT) ve yürütücü
fonksiyonların değerlendirildiği Frontal Değerlendirme Bataryası’nda (FDB) düzelme
gözlendi. Memantin alan grupta baslangıçta ve çalısma sonrası çekilen serebral SPECT sağ
inferior temporal ve parietal bölgede hiperperfüzyon göstermistir. Sonuç olarak memantin
HKB’li hastalarda ilk tedavi olarak önerilebilir.
In this study, the efficiency and the reliability of
memantine was evaluated in patients who are diagnosed as mild cognitive impairment (MCI).
Forty patients enrolled for the study including patients with MCI who are receiving treatment
(n=20), patients with MCI but not receiving treatment recently (n=10) and healthy volunters
(n=10). Petersen criteria was used for MCI diagnosis. All the subjects were followed with
neuropsychologic tests time to time and both at the study onset and the end of the study all of
the subjects cerebral SPECTs were taken. In the MCI diagnosed patients especially memory
and motor functions are declined. During the forty-eight days follow-up period of the
memantine using group, we determined ability loss in blessed-dementia when evaluating
especially the functional zones and improvement when evaluating globale cognitive zone in
MSSE and when evaluating executive functions in Frontal Asessment Battery test. We
observed hyperperfusion in right inferior temporal and parietal zones in the cerebral SPECTs
that we took at the study onset and after completing the study. In conclusion memantine can
be suggested as a first drug for MCI diagnosed patients treatment.
