monomerinden elde edilen poli(8-metakriloksikinolin) (PMAQ) mikropartiküllerine CdSe,
PMAQ@CdSe/CdS
en düşük toksisiteye sahip olmasının nedeni kuantum nanokristallerin çekirdek/kabuk
(CdSe/CdS) yapısına sahip olması olarak değerlendirilmiştir
8-Hydroxyquinoline forming complexes with metal ions has been reacted with
methacrylic acid to obtain 8-methacryloxyquinoline (MAQ) monomer which was characterized
by ATR-IR and 1H NMR analysis. On the other hand, nanocrystals change their properties with
their shape and size-controlled. Surface modifications have been made with different ligands
and polymers for the application of these nanocrystals in different areas.
Poly(8-methacryloxyquinoline) (PMAQ) obtained from 8-methacryloxyquinoline
(MAQ) monomer has been successfully used in this study for coating of CdSe, CdSe/CdS, and
PbSe nanocrystals, encapsulation and reduce the toxicity of them. PMAQ spherical
microparticles were synthesized by suspension polymerization method in size from 500 nm to
1 µm and were determined by SEM analysis. Quantum particles CdSe, CdSe/CdS, and PbSe
were synthesized by hot injection method, and their monodispersed and size were determined
by TEM analysis, and their optical properties were examined by UV-Vis analysis.
As a result, PMAQ@CdSe, PMAQ@CdSe/CdS core/shell, and PMAQ@PbSe
microparticles were synthesized, and confocal microscopy analyzes were performed to
determine the presence of quantum particles in the microparticles and it was determined that the
quantum nanoparticles were embedded in the PMAQ microparticles. Cytotoxicity analysis was
performed to compare the toxicity of microparticles and it was determined that
PMAQ@CdSe/CdS microparticles had the lowest toxicity and PMAQ@CdSe had the highest
toxicity. PMAQ@CdSe/CdS has the lowest toxicity because the quantum nanocrystals have a
core/shell (CdSe/CdS) structure
