Vmax,E(m/s) değerleri tespit edilmistir.
The rapid increase in energy demands in Turkey and the world and also diminishes of
energy sources drove the need for new and renewable energy sources. Wind energy,
which is renewable, clean and cheap, is one of these new energy sources.
In this study, three year hourly wind speed measurements between year 2007-
2009 were taken from The Meteorology Work General Directorate’s stations
established in Eskisehir and Eskisehir district’s Çifteler, Mahmudiye and Sivrihisar
were used to calculate real average wind speed and energy densities at these stations. In
this study the most common methods in literature which are Moment, Graphic,
Maximum Likelihood and Weibull 7++ program were used to determine the most
suitable parameters and these were calculated by performing error analysis. These
parameters are dimesionless shape parameter k and scale parameter c(m/s).
These parameters were calculated with respect to 10, 30, 50 meters to determine
power density Pw(W/m2) values, the most probable speed vmostprobable(m/s) values and the
speed that transport the most excessive energy Vmax,E(m/s) values. Also third order
turbine power curves for five different wind turbines’s were calculated and were
integrated with Weibull probobality density functions for all regions at 50 meters
altitude and the maximum amount of energy that can be produced annually were
calculated.
