Bu araştırmanın amacı meslek liselerindeki öğretmenlerin okul kültürüne
yönelik algılarını incelemektir. Ayrıca meslek lisesinde görev yapan öğretmenlerin okul
kültürüne yönelik algılarının cinsiyet, öğrenim durumu, mesleki kıdem, branş, okulda
çalıştıkları yıl, okulun öğrenci sayısı, öğretmen sayısı ve başarı ortalamasına göre farklılaşıp
farklılaşmadığı tespit etmektir.
Yöntem: Bu araştırmada meslek lisesinde görev yapan öğretmenlerin okul kültürü
algılarını belirlemek üzere tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evreni, 2018-2019
Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Eskişehir ili merkez ilçeler Odunpazarı ve Tepebaşı’n da bulunan
MEB Mesleki ve Teknik Eğitim Genel Müdürlüğüne bağlı meslek liselerinde çalışan 1278
öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklemini ise tabakalı örnekleme ile seçilen
Eskişehir ili merkez ilçelerde görev yapan 492 meslek lisesi öğretmeni oluşturmuştur. Bu
araştırmada veriler Weinstock, Yumoto, Abe, Meyers, & Wan (2016) tarafından geliştirilen
ölçek ile toplanmıştır. Bu araştırmada verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde, aritmetik ortalama,
t- testi ve tek yönlü ANOVA analizleri kullanılmıştır.
Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan öğretmenlerin okul kültürüne ilişkin yüksek akademik
beklentiler boyutunda algıları (X̄ =2,151) “Katılmıyorum”, hedeflerin açıklığı boyutunda
algıları (X̄ =2,466) “Katılmıyorum”, profesyonel öğretmen davranışları boyutunda algıları (X̄
=2,947) “Katılıyorum”, mesleki topluluk boyutunda algıları (X̄ = 2,498) “Katılmıyorum”, aile
ve çevre katılımı boyutunda algıları ( X̄ = 2,723) “Katılıyorum”, paydaş dayanışması ve
yenilikler için okul desteği boyutunda algıları (X̄ =2,783) “Katılıyorum” ve toplamda okul
kültürü algıları (X̄ =2,636) “Katılıyorum” düzeyinde olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca araştırmada
öğretmenlerin okul kültürünü algı düzeylerinde cinsiyete, branşa, okulda çalışılan yıla,
okulların başarı sırasına, öğretmen ve öğrenci sayılarına göre anlamlı farklılıklar tespit
edilmiştir.
Sonuç ve Öneriler: Araştırmanın sonucuna göre mesleki ve teknik liselerde görev
yapan öğretmenlerin okul kültürüne ilişkin algılarının yüksek olduğu görülmüştür.

Profesyonel öğretmen davranışları ve aile ve çevre katılımı boyutlarında kadın öğretmenlerin
erkek öğretmenlere göre daha yüksek algıya sahip oldukları bulunmuştur. Branş değişkenine
göre yüksek akademik beklentiler boyutunda meslek dersi öğretmenlerinin okul kültürü
algıları kültür dersi öğretmenlerine göre daha yüksek çıkmıştır. Çalışılan yıl değişkenine göre
de profesyonel öğretmen davranışları ve toplamda daha az çalışma yılan sahip öğretmenlerin
okul kültürü algılarının daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Okulların başarı sırası
değişkeninde ise orta derecede başarılı okullardaki öğretmenlerin, başarı seviyesi en yüksek
ve başarı seviyesi en düşük okullardaki öğretmenlere göre okul kültürüne yönelik daha
yüksek algıya sahip oldukları görülmüştür. Ayrıca okul kültürü algısı öğretmen sayısı en
yüksek ve orta derecede olan okullardaki öğretmenlere göre, öğretmen sayısı en düşük olan
okullardaki öğretmenler lehine çıkmıştır. Benzer biçimde okul kültürü algısı öğrenci sayısı en
yüksek ve orta derecede olan okullardaki öğretmenlere göre öğrenci sayısı en düşük olan
okullardaki öğretmenler lehine çıkmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda meslek
liselerinde öğretmenlerin okul kültürü algılarının arttırılmasına yönelik çeşitli önerilerde
bulunulmuştur
The aim of this study is to examine the perceptions of teachers in vocational
high schools about school culture. In addition, perceptions of teachers working in vocational
high schools regarding high academic expectations, clarity of objectives, professional teacher
behaviors, professional community, family and environment participation, stakeholder
solidarity and school support for innovations, gender, educational background, professional
seniority, branch, year of school, student The number of teachers, the number of teachers and
whether it has been differentiated according to the average success was determined.
Method: In this research, screening method was used to determine school culture
perceptions of teachers working in vocational high schools. The population of the research
consists of 1278 teachers working in vocational high schools affiliated to the General
Directorate of Vocational and Technical Education in the central districts Odunpazarı and
Tepebaşı in Eskişehir in the 2018-2019 academic year. The sample of the study consisted of
492 vocational high school teachers working in the central districts of Eskişehir. In this study,
the data were collected by the scale developed by Weinstock, Yumoto, Abe, Meyers, & Wan
(2016). In this study, frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, t-test and one-way ANOVA
analyzes were used.
Results: Perceptions of the teachers participating in the research in terms of high
academic expectations regarding the school culture (X̄ = 2,151) “Disagree ”, perceptions in
the dimension of clarity of objectives (X̄ = 2,466) “Disagree”, perceptions of professional
teacher behaviors (X̄ = 2,947) “Agree” perceptions (X̄ = 2,498) “Disagree ”, perceptions of
family and environment participation dimension (X̄ = 2,723) “Agree”, perceptions of
stakeholder solidarity and innovation for school support (X̄ = 2,783) “Agree ”and total school
culture perceptions (X̄ = 2,636) “Agree ”. In addition, differences in the perception of
teachers' school culture according to gender, branch, year worked in school, success of
schools, number of teachers and students were determined.

Conclusion and Suggestions: According to the results of the study, it was seen that
teachers working in vocational and technical high schools had high perceptions about school
culture. It was found that female teachers had higher perception in terms of professional
teacher behaviors and family and environment participation than male teachers. According to
the branch variable, vocational school teachers' perceptions of school culture were higher than
those of culture teachers in terms of high academic expectations. According to the year
variable, it was determined that teachers' professional behaviors and teachers with less
working snakes had higher perceptions of school culture. In the success rate variable of the
schools, it was observed that the teachers in the moderately successful schools have a higher
perception of the school culture than the teachers in the schools with the highest achievement
level and the lowest achievement level. In addition, according to the teachers with the highest
and middle school teachers perceiving the school culture perception, it was in favor of the
teachers with the lowest number of teachers. Similarly, the school culture perception was in
favor of the teachers with the lowest number of students compared to the teachers in the
schools with the highest and medium number of students. In line with the result of the
research, various suggestions were made to increase teachers' perception of school culture in
vocational high schools
