Anket
yoluyla toplanmış veriler IBM SPSS Statistics 21 paket programı
kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Ġstatistiksel olarak p<0.05 anlamlı kabul
edilmiştir.
Bulgular: Araştırmamıza katılan son bir yıl içerisinde doğum yapmış
kadınların yaş ortalaması 28,86±4,92; 50 yaş üstü kadınların yaş
ortalaması 57,93±7,49 olarak bulunmuştur. Son bir yıl içerisinde
doğum yapmış kadın grubunda normal doğum oranı %49,6, evde
doğum oranı %0.9, „Doğumdan korkuyor musunuz?‟ sorusuna „evet‟
cevabını verenlerin oranı %62,2, doğumu doktor tarafından
gerçekleştirilenlerin oranı %64,8; 50 yaş üstü kadın grubunda normal
doğum oranı %92, evde doğum oranı %31,7, „Doğumdan korkuyor
iv
musunuz?‟ sorusuna „evet‟ cevabını verenlerin oranı %39,5,
doğumları %51,7 oranında ebenin ve %27,7 oranında köy ebesinin
yaptırdığı bulunmuştur. Son bir yıl içinde doğum yapmış kadınların
TDAÖ puan ortalaması 64,57 (orta); 50 yaş üstü kadınların TDAÖ
puan ortalaması 41,79 (düşük) olarak saptandı. Her iki grup içinde;
yaş, öğrenim durumu, çalışma durumu, doğum şekli, doğum şeklinden
memnun olma durumu, doğumdan önce hastanede bekleme süresi,
doğumda problem gelişmesi, doğumdan korkma durumu, doğumda
sosyal destek varlığı, vajinal muayene sayısı ve bebekle temas etme
süresinin TDAÖ puanına etkisi anlamlı bulunmuştur(p<0.05).
Çalışmamızda TDAÖ‟nin Cronbach alfa güvenilirlik kat sayısı 0.905
olarak bulunmuştur.
Sonuç: Çalışmamızın sonucunda; son bir yıl içinde doğum yapmış
kadınların, 50 yaş üstü kadınlara göre travmatik doğum algılarının
daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır.
Background: In Turkey, significant changes have occurred in
deliveries, especially in the last 30 years. These changes in the
deliveries have naturally led to the change in the roles of midwives in
delivery. This study aims to analyse the differences between 'old births
and new births' by comparing the birth experiences of women who
gave birth in the last one year and the first birth experiences of
women over 50 years old giving at least one birth.
Method: The research was carried out in the city centre of Kütahya
between the dates of 01.11.2019 and 31.01.2020. The population of the
study consisted of women who gave birth in the last one year and
women over the age of 50 giving at least one birth. The group of women
giving birth in the last one year consisted of 339 people, and the group
of women over 50 consisted of 375 people, and a total of 714 people
were interviewed. Face-to-face interview was conducted with the help
of Traumatic Birth Perception Scale and Participant Introduction
Form to collect the data from the women who had consent to
participate in the study. The data collected through questionnaires
were analysed using a statistics program. p <0.05 was considered
statistically significant.
Findings: It was found that the average age of women who gave
birth in the last one year was 28.86 ± 4.92, and the average age of
women over 50 was 57.93 ± 7.49. It was found that while among the
group of women who gave birth in the last 12 months the normal
delivery rate was 49.6%, the rate of home birth was 0.9%, the rate of
those answering „yes‟ to the question „Are you afraid of giving birth?‟
was 62.2%, and the rate of those whose delivery was performed by a
doctor was 64.8%, among the group of women over 50, the normal
delivery rate was 92%, the rate of home birth was 31.7%, the rate of
vi
those who answered „yes‟ to the question „Are you afraid of giving
birth?‟ was 39.5%, and the rate of those whose delivery was performed
by a midwife was %51,7 and by a midwife working in a village was
27.7%. The average TBPS score of women who gave birth in the last
one year was found to be 64.57 (medium), whereas the average TBPS
score of women over 50 years old was found 41.79 (low). In both groups,
the effect of age, level of education, occupation, mode of delivery,
satisfaction with the mode of delivery, waiting time in the hospital
before birth, the occurrence of problems at birth, fear of birth,
presence of social support at birth, number of vaginal examinations,
and time of contact with the baby on TBPS score was found to be
significant (p <0.05). In the study, the Cronbach alpha reliability
coefficient of TBPS was found to be 0.905.
Conclusion: As a result of the study, it was found that women who
gave birth in the last one year period had a higher perception of
traumatic birth than women who experienced at least one delivery
over 50 years old
