In this study, thin films were formed on the glass base by producing the plasma of
MgF2 (Magnesium Fluoride) compound, which is known as the most suitable material as
single layer anti-reflective (AR) coating material by using Thermionic Vacuum Arc (TVA)
technique, which produces pure material plasma. Some physical properties of the produced
thin films were investigated. Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) was used to examine the
surface properties of the thin films and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) device was used to
examine the crystal structures of the thin films. The optical properties of the produced thin
films were examined by using UV-Vis spectrophotometry for visible region and FTIR
spectroscopy for infrared (IR) region
