kabul edilen on kıraat ile dört şâz kıraatin hemzeyi okuma biçimleri ele
alınmıştır. Her bir okuma biçimi açıklayıcı olması bakımından gerekli örnekler
ve tablolarla birlikte verilmiştir. Bu esnada okuyuşların teorik yönünün yanı sıra
pratik tarafı da açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Dolayısıyla ortaya çıkan bu çalışma ile
kıraat ilmi öğretiminde teorik ve pratik açıdan kolaylık sağlayacak bir kaynak
oluşturulması hedeflenmiştir
Scholars of Qira’at and linguists have disagreed on hamza in many aspects,
which has a wide place in the literature of Qira’at and Arabic language. Different
opinions have been put forward on topics such as whether hamza is a letter or not,
its writing and reading styles.
In the study, hamza is thoroughly examined in terms of Arabic language and
eloquence. As a result of the examination, it is concluded that hamza is the first
letter of the Arabic alphabet and has its own characteristics. Considering these
features, it is seen that different reading styles had emerged due to the difficulties
in the pronunciation of the letter of hamza and the effect of local dialects. Together
with the descent of the revelation, some of these reading styles are included in the
Quran with the aim of facilitating the pronunciation of the hamza. These reading
styles, which have reached us as mutawatir until today, are systematized with the
name of imams and narrators who transmitted them from the Prophet through a
sahih (authentic) sanad (narrator chain). Although these reading styles are adopted
to be read in different parts of the world, some forms of them are rejected due to a
number of flaws.
The research includes the pronunciation forms of the hamza, as narrated by
imams and narrators. Firstly, ten mutawatir qira’at, which are accepted as authentic,
are discussed in terms of the pronounciation ways of the hamza and then four
shadhdh qira’at, which are not accepted as authentic, are examined. Each reading
style is provided with the necessary examples and tables for clarity. Besides the
ix
theoretical aspect of the readings, the practical aspect is also tried to be explained.
Therefore, this study will be a resource that will provide convenience in theoretical
and practical terms while teaching and learning the science of qira’at
