Amaç: Araştırmamız böbrek transplantasyonu yapılan alıcıların
danışmanlık gereksinimlerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Yöntem: Bu çalışma tanımlayıcı nitel bir araştırmadır. Çalışma Aralık
2018-Nisan 2019 tarihlerinde arasında Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi
Sağlık Uygulama ve Araştırma Hastanesi Böbrek Nakil Ünitesinde
yürütülmüştür. Veriler böbrek transplantasyonu olan 10 alıcı ile
derinlemesine görüşme yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Verilerin
Purpose: The aim of the study was to describe the counselling needs of
kidney transplant recipients.
Method: A descriptive qualitative research design was used. The study
was conducted between December 2018 and April 2019 in Eskişehir
Osmangazi University Health Application and Research Hospital Kidney
Transplant Unit. In-depth interviews were performed with ten participants
who had experiences of kidney transplantation. Data were analyzed with
inductive content analysis.
Results: The kidney transplant recipients’ counselling needs were
categorized into two main themes: ‘’pre- transplantation period
counselling needs’’ and ‘’post- transplant period counselling needs’’.
Subthemes were also identified and described. The first main theme had
three subthemes (operative process, postoperative period, donor risks)
and the second main theme had six subthemes (immunosuppressive
drugs, complications, sexuality and contraception, having children and
family building, economic status, socialsupport).
Conclusions: The results indicate that the kidney transplant recipients’
currently have insufficient knowledge about transplantation periods and
they need counselling
