Financial Innovations have been determined as an important research area last
decades in financial management practices and financial theory.
According to Social Psychology, there is a relationhip among perceptions,
attitudes, intentions and behaviors. Perceptions, which are classified as cognitive,
emotional and behavioral forms determine attitudes over time. Intentions are
products of these attitudes. At the end, behaviours can be determined with these
perceptions, attitudes and intentions. There are some theories and approaches explain
these process such as Technology Acceptance Model (TAM).
In this study, financial innovations are explained with this social psychological
way. The data collected through Likert-type questions, the variables classified by
using Innovation Diffusion Theory (IDT) and similar approaches, the non-parametric
statistical tests, regression, factor analyzes and Technology Acceptance Model
(TAM) are used for modelling. The results show that perception and demographic
variables have statistically significant effect on the intention to use financial
innovations
