Bolu’nun termal turizm potansiyeli ve termal turist profili

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ikincil verileri derleyerek Bolu’nun termal turizm potansiyelini ortaya çıkartmak ve Bolu’daki termal turizm tesislerinden hizmet alan termal turistlerin memnuniyet düzeylerini belirlemektir. Böylece Bolu’nun termal turizm potansiyelinin yeterince kullanılıp kullanılmadığı ve termal turizm tesislerinin eksik yanları tespit edilmiş olacak ve termal turizm potansiyelinin kullanılmasına yönelik öneriler geliştirilecektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2018 yılında Haziran Ekim ayları arasında Bolu’nun termal tesislerinde konaklayan 450 yerli termal turist oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmacıların, hizmet kalitesi ve müşteri memnuniyeti için geliştirdikleri ölçekler kullanılarak çalışmaya uyarlanmıştır. Turistlerin memnuniyet düzeyi, Parasurman ve arkadaşlarının SERVQUAL yöntemde oluşturduğu hizmet kalitesi boyutları kapsamında ölçülerek 6 faktör altında toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS istatistik paket programında, Croanbach Alpha, faktör analizi, KMO(Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin), Bartlett testleri, varyans (One-Way ANOVA, tukey) ve korelasyon analizleri ile t testleri yapılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, termal turistlerin Bolu’nun termal turizm tesislerinden memnuniyet düzeylerinin demografik özelliklerine göre anlamlı farklılıklar gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Turistler, Bolu’nun termal tesisleri hakkındaki değerlendirmelerinde, güven boyutunda memnuniyetleri yüksekken tesislerin fiziksel donanımları boyutunda memnuniyetlerinin düşük olduğu görülmektedir. Sonuç olarak; Bolu’nun termal turizm potansiyelinin doğal kaynaklar açısından çok zengin olduğu ve bu potansiyelin küçük bir kısmının termal turizm tesisleri ile turizm sektörüne kazandırıldığı görülmüştür ancak termal turistlerin bu tesislerin güven boyutundaki özelliklerinden memnun olmalarına vi rağmen fiziksel donanımlar özelliklerinden memnun olmadıkları görülmüştür. Bolu’nun termal turizm tesislerinin fiziksel yapı ve donanım yönünden kendilerini yenilemeleri ve standartlarını arttırmaları gerektiği söylenebilir

This study aims to reveal thermal tourism potential of Bolu and determine the level of satisfaction of thermal tourists who received service from thermal tourism facilities by compiling secondary data. Thus, whether Bolu’s thermal tourism potential is sufficently used shall be determined, lacking aspects of thermal tourism facilities shall be identified, and suggestions towards the usage of thermal tourism potential shall be developed. Sampling of the research consists of 450 thermal tourists who stayed in the thermal tourism facilities in the province of Bolu from June to October in 2018. Scales, developed by researchers for service quality and customer satisfaction, are used and adapted to the study. Satisfaction level is measured in scope of Parasurman et al.’s service quality dimensions with Servqual method, and these are aggregated under 6 factors as tourism potential dimensions. The obtained data is evaluated using SPSS packaged software of statistics, Croanbach Alpha, factor analysis, KMO (Kaiser – Meyer – Olkin), Barlett tests, variance ( One-Way ANOVA, Turkey) and correlation analyses, and t tests. In the result of the conducted analyses, it is determined that level of satisfaction of thermal tourists on Bolu’s thermal tourism facilities vary in accordance with demoghrapical features of the tourists. It is seen, in light of the evaluations of thermal tourists concerning the thermal facilities, that, their satisfaction in the trust dimention is high, while their satisfaction in the dimension of physical equipment is low. To conclude; it is observed that Bolu’s thermal tourism potential is very high in natural reources, and, a little portion of this potential is featured in the tourism sector by means of thermal tourism facilities, however; while thermal tourists are satisfied with some aspects of these facilities, they are unsatisfied with others. It can be said that thermal viii tourism facilities in the province of Bolu need to renew themselves in aspects of physical structure and equipment, and should increase their standards
