Bu çalışma otomotiv sektöründeki marka bağlılığını konu almaktadır.
Teknolojinin etkisiyle, tüketicilerde ve pazar şartlarında yaşanan değişimler,
markaların benzer özellikte ürünleri, yakın fiyatlarla, pazardaki tüketicilere
sunabilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu durumun tetiklediği rekabet ortamında,
otomotiv sektöründeki markalar, rakiplerinden farklılaşmayı ve tüketicilerle uzun
süreli ilişkiler geliştirmeyi hedeflemektedir. Böyle bir hedefe ancak gerçek bir marka
bağlılığı yaratıldığı takdirde ulaşılabilir ve pazardaki rakiplere karşı avantaj elde
edilebilir. Ancak marka bağlılığı, karmaşık ve farklı etmenlere bağlı olarak
oluşabilecek bir fenomendir. Bu durum, otomotiv sektörü gibi çok boyutlu ve insan
hayatındaki en büyük harcamalardan birinin yapıldığı bir sektörde, tüketicilerin marka
bağlılıklarının nasıl oluştuğunun keşfedilmesi ihtiyacını doğurmaktadır.
Araştırmanın amacı Türkiye’de otomotiv sektöründe marka bağlılığının nasıl
oluştuğunun keşfedilmesidir. Bu doğrultuda araştırmada incelenmek üzere Toyota
markasının Türkiye hayran topluluğunun çevrimiçi sayfası “www.toyotaclubtr.com”
seçilmiştir. Hayran sayfası, keşif odaklı, dijital platformlarda etkili bir araştırma
yöntemi olan ve tüketici içgörülerine odaklanan netnografi yöntemiyle analiz
edilmiştir.
Çalışmada, Toyota markası kullanıcılarının altı örüntü altında marka bağlılığı
oluşturabileceği tespit edilmiştir. Bunlar: (1) Menşe ülke etkisi (2) Markaya özgü

nitelikler (3) Uzun süreli kullanım (4) Duygusal bağlılık (5) Ekonomik faktörler (6)
Memnuniyettir. Ayrıca hayran sayfasında, marka bağlılıklarına göre dört tüketici
tipinin oluştuğu görülmüştür. Bunlar: (1) Menşe ülke markalarına bağlılar (2) Marka
bağlılığı olmayanlar (3) Esnek marka bağlıları (4) Gerçek marka bağlılarıdır. Oluşan
örüntüler ve alt boyutları, tüketici tipleriyle birlikte, davranışsal marka bağlılığı ve
tutumsal marka bağlılığı açısından değerlendirilmiş, bu bağlamda otomotiv sektöründe
gerçek bir marka bağlılığının, tekrar eden satın alma davranışı ve olumlu tutumların
bir araya gelmesiyle oluşabileceği tespit edilmiştir.
Çalışmada, geçmişte yapılan araştırmaların sonuçlarını destekleyen ve
genişleten sonuçlar elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırmacının erişebildiği literatürde
rastlanmayan bazı sonuçlar da saptanmıştır
This study deals with brand loyalty in the automotive sector. Due to the impact
of technology, changes in consumers and market conditions enable brands to offer
similar products at near prices to consumers in the market. In this competitive
environment triggered by this situation, the brands in the automotive sector aim to
differentiate themselves from their competitors and develop long-term relations with
consumers. Such a goal can only be achieved if a genuine brand loyalty is created and
an advantage can be gained against competitors in the market. However, brand loyalty
is a phenomenon that can occur due to complex and different factors. This situation,
creates the need to explore how consumers brand loyalty is created in a sector which
is multi-dimensional and has the one of the largest expenditures in human life such as
the automotive industry.
The aim of the study is to explore how brand loyalty in the automotive sector
occurs in Turkey. In this respect, the online page of the Turkish fan society of Toyota
brand “www.toyotaclubtr.com” has been selected for the investigation of the study.
The fan page has been analyzed using the netnography method, which is an effective
research method on digital platforms focused on discovery and consumer insights.
In this study, it has been determined that Toyota brand users could create brand
loyalty under six patterns. These were: (1) Origin of Country Effect, (2) Brand-specific
characteristics, (3) Long-term use, (4) Emotional commitment, (5) Economic factors
(6) Satisfaction. In addition, It has been seen that four consumer types were formed on

the fan page according to brand loyalty. These were: (1) Committed to the brands of
origin countries, (2) Non-brand loyal, (3) Flexible brand-loyal (4) Real brand-loyal
consumers. The resulting patterns and sub-dimensions were evaluated together with
the consumer types in terms of behavioral brand loyalty and attitude brand loyalty, and
in this context, it has been determined that a real brand loyalty in the automotive
industry can be formed by a combination of repetitive purchasing behavior and
positive attitudes.
In the study, the results supporting and expanding past researches have been
obtained. In addition, some results which were not found in the literature accessible to
the researcher, have been also determined
