II-VI grubu bileşikleri geniş uygulama alanına sahip yarıiletken malzemelerdendir.
Üretim yönteminin ve deney koşullarının değiştirilmesiyle farklı özelliklere sahip
materyaller elde edilebilir.
CdS ince filmlerin
optik, morfolojik ve yapısal özellikleri büyüme mekanizmalarını belirlemek amacıyla
banyo sıcaklığının bir fonksiyonu olarak incelenmiştir. Ayrıca, ekonomik olması, geniş
yüzeylere uygulama kolaylığı sağlaması ve basit deney düzeneğine sahip olması sebebiyle
kimyasal banyo yöntemi tercih edilerek üretim maliyetleri düşürülmüştür
II-VI semiconductor compounds have a wide range of applications. Materials with
various properties can be obtained by changing production method or experimental
conditions. Recently, optical, structural and electrical properties of materials are examined
depending on temperature, pH, grain size etc. CdS belongs to II-VI group compounds and
is one of the semiconductors which has been frequently studied in recent years.
Semiconductor materials can also be produced as thin film.
In this study, CdS thin films were deposited on glass substrates with chemical bath
deposition method. While the bath temperature was changed between 65-85 , the
deposition time was kept constant for 30 minutes and different CdS films were produced.
The optical, structural, morphological properties and analysis of composition of
obtained nanostructured films were investigated by using UV-VIS (Ultraviolet-visible
spectroscopy), XRD (X-Ray Diffraction), SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope),
AFM(Atomic Force Microscope) and EDS (Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy),
respectively. According to XRD data, thin films are in cubic structure. The bant gap values
of thin films varies between 2.24-2.42 eV at constant deposition time.
The aim of this study is to investigate some physical properties of CdS thin films
deposited on glass substrates. The optical, morphological and surface properties of CdS
thin films were investigated as a function of bath temperature to determine growth
mechanisms. In addition, because of its low cost, ease of application on large surfaces and
simple experiment setup, production costs have been reduced by choosing chemical bath
method
