yapabilecekleri konusunda bilgilendirilmelidirler
As a result, teachers who make adaptations
considering students’ levels, needs and interests while applying curriculum materials in
their classrooms increase the motivation of their students towards the lesson and affect
their learning and academic success in a positive way. Both teachers and students stated
that the content and activities in the curriculum materials were boring, insufficient and
not suitable for the student level. In order to solve these problems in the curriculum
materials, the use of a source other than curriculum materials in the classroom and
supplying extra activities in line with the student characteristics help teachers to
increase their students' motivation and learning level. Therefore, teachers should not be
pressured to adhere strictly to the curriculum materials while implementing the
curriculum in their classrooms. Teachers should be informed about how to adapt the
curriculum materials in their classroom in accordance with the characteristics of their
students
