Annelere
Beck Depresyon Ölçeği (BDÖ), Beck Anksiyete Ölçeği (BAÖ) ve Dünya Sağlık
Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği Kısa Formu Türkçe Versiyonu (WHOQOL-BREF TR) ölçeği uygulandı. Serebral palsili çocukların Pediatrik Fonksiyonel Bağımsızlık
Ölçümü (WeeFIM), Fonksiyonel Mobilite Skalası (FMS), Kaba Motor Fonksiyon
Sınıflandırma Sistemi (KMFSS) ve Bimanuel İnce Motor Fonksiyon (BİMF) skorları
dosyalardan taranarak elde edildi.
The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship
between the levels of depression, anxiety and quality of life in mothers of children
with cerebral palsy (CP) and motor impairment in children with CP. The mothers of
98 patients with cerebral palsy who were admitted to ESOGU Medical Faculty
Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic were included in the study.
Sociodemographic information of the participants was recorded. The Beck
Depression Inventory (BDI), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and the World Health
Organization Short Form Turkish version (WHOQOL-BREF-TR) scale were applied
to the mothers. Pediatric Functional Independence Measurement (WeeFIM),
Functional Mobility Scale (FMS), Gross Motor Function Classification System
(GMFCS) and Bimanuel Fine Motor Function (BFMF) scores were obtained from
the files. We found that the differences in GMFCS, BFMF, FMS and WeeFIM scores
of children with CP were not associated with BAI and BDI scores of mothers
(p>0,05). We found a significant relationship between WeeFIM score and
WHOQOL-BREF-TR social relations subtitle (p<0,05). We found a significant
relationship between BFMF levels and WHOQOL-BREF-TR general health, social
relations and environmental health subtitles (p<0,05). We did not find a significant
relationship between the levels of GMFCS and FMS in children and quality of life of
mothers (p>0,05). Functional disability in children with CP negatively affects the
quality of life of mothers. Depression and anxiety levels of mothers are affected
independently of the functional levels of children with CP. It was thought that
increasing the quality of life of mothers who have children with CP with physical,
psychological and economic support would be important for mothers and their
children, their families, social and professional environment
