Cemal Reşit Eyüboğlu, bir Türk siyasetçi, bürokrat ve gazetecidir. Demokrat
Parti’nin iktidara geldiği 1950-1954 yılları arasında Cumhuriyet Halk Partisi Trabzon
milletvekilliği yapmıştır. Ayrıca 27 Mayıs 1960 askeri müdahalesi sonrası oluşturulan
Kurucu Meclis’te Trabzon İl Temsilcisi olarak görev almıştır. Yön Dergisi’nin ve
Devrim Gazetesi’nin sahibi olan Eyüboğlu; 1960’lı yıllarda Türkiye’de ivme kazanan
sol akımların bir parçası olmuştur. 12 Mart 1971 Muhtırası ile dağıtılan Yön/Devrim
Hareketi’nin bir mensubu olan Eyüboğlu, bu süreçte yargılanmış ve beraat etmiştir.
Cemal Reşit Eyüboğlu’nun siyasette, bürokraside ve basındaki etkinliğini konu alan
bu çalışma, 60’lardaki Türk solunun aktörlerin perspektifinden incelenerek daha iyi
anlaşılmasına katkıda bulunacaktır
Cemal Reşit Eyüboğlu was a Turkish politician, bureaucrat and a journalist. He
served as Republican People’s Party’s Trabzon MP from 1950 to 1954 when the
Democratic Party came to power. He also served as Trabzon Provincial Representative
in the Constituent Assembly, which was formed after the military intervention of 27
May 1960. Eyüboğlu, who was the owner of journals Yön and Devrim; has been a part
of leftist movement in Turkey, which has gained momentum in the 60’s. Eyüboğlu,
who was a member of the Yön/Devrim Movement which was dissolved by the 12
March 1971 Memorandum, was tried and acquitted in this process. This study on the
activity of Cemal Reşit Eyüboğlu in politics, bureaucracy and the press, will contribute
to a better understanding of the Turkish left in the 60s from the perspective of the
actors
