Bu tez çalısmasında önce, Bandırma Borik Asit Fabrikası’ndan alınan sulu borik asit
180 OC’de susuzlastırılarak susuz borik asit elde edilmistir. Elde edilen susuz borik asit (bor
oksit) ile %99,99 saflıktaki magnezyum tozları karıstırılıp, metal bir kalıpta sıkıstırılmıs, 800
OC’de indirgeme gerçeklestirilmistir. Đndirgeme sonucu olusan elementel bor, asidik bir liç
prosesi ile açığa çıkarılmıstır. Elde edilen elementel bor X-ray diffraction (XRD) ve
Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) – Wavelenght Dispersive Spectroscopy (WDS)
cihazlarında analiz edilmis ve sonuçlar irdelenmistir.
In this study firstly, boron oxide was produced at 180 oC by dehydrating orthoboric
acid which supplied from Bandırma Boron Oxide Factory. The obtained boron oxide and
%99,99 purity magnesium were mixed and compressed in a metal dye and then reduction
process was carried to produce elemental boron at 800 oC. The elemental boron was
obtained by an acidic leaching process. Afterwards elemental boron was analised using X-
ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) equipped with
Wavelenght Dispersive Spectroscopy (WDS) and results were discussed.
