Kil minerallerinin genel formülü (A2O)x (BO)y (C2O3)z (SiO2)m(H2O)n seklinde
gösterilmekte ve birçok sanayi ürününün hammaddesi olarak kullanılmaktadır.
Ülkemiz de kil minerallerince zengin rezerve sahiptir.
Bu çalısmada, Eskisehir–Mihalıççık orijinal ve DTMA ile modifiye edilmis kilin
sulu çözeltilerden Pb2+ iyonunun adsorpsiyonla uzaklastırılmasında kullanılabilirligi
arastırılmıstır. Adsorpsiyona: baslangıç pH’ ı, adsorban derisimi, karıstırma süresi ve
sıcaklık parametrelerinin etkileri incelenmistir. Maksimum adsorpsiyon kapasitesine
pH= 2,0’de ulasılmıstır. Adsorban derisiminin adsorpsiyon kapasitesine etkisi 0,4-4 g/L
derisim aralıgında incelenmis maksimum adsorpsiyon derisimi 2 g/L adsorban
derisiminde %98 olarak bulunmustur. Adsorpsiyon dengesine 50 dk.’da ulasılmıstır.
Sıcaklık arttıkça orijinal ve modifiye kilde adsorpsiyon kapasitesi artmıs ve Pb2+ iyonu
adsorpsiyonunun endotermik oldugu bulunmustur. Adsorpsiyon denge verileri
Langmuir, Freundlich ve Dubinin-Radushkevich izoterm modelleri kullanılarak
degerlendirilmistir. Orijinal ve modifiye kilde Pb2+ adsorpsiyonunun, Langmuir izoterm
modeline diger izotermlerden daha fazla uygunluk gösterdigi bulunmustur.
General formula of the clay minerals is shown as (A2O)x (BO)y (C2O3)z (SiO2)m(H2O)n and they are used as raw material of a lot of industrial products. Our country has rich reserves of clay minerals.
In this study, avaibility of the clay, which uptakes originally from Eskişehir-Mihalıççık and is modified by DTMA, in the removal of Pb2+ ion in aqueous solution was investigated by adsorption. The effects of initial pH, to the adsorption, adsorbent concentration, mixing time and the effect of heat parameters were studied. Maximum adsorption capacity was reached in pH= 2,0. The effect of adsorbent concentration to adsorption capacity was studied in 0,4-4 g/L concentration range of, and maximum adsorption capacity was found as 98 % in 2 g/L adsorbent concentration. Adsorption equilibrium was reached in 50 min. As the temperature increases, adsorption capacities in original and modified clay also increased, and it was found that the adsorption of the Pb2+ ion was endothermic in nature. Adsorption equilibrium data were evaluated by using Langmuir, Freundlich and Dubinin-Radushkevich isotherm models. It was found that Pb2+ adsorption in original and modified clay was fitted well to the Langmuir isotherm model than the other isotherm models.
