Object: The study is a descriptive cross-sectional study designed to compare sleep quality and fatigue levels in breastfeeding and bottle feeding women. It is also planned to examine the relationship between sleep quality and fatigue level.
Methot: The sample of the study consisted of women between 4-16 weeks of gestation. The number of sample determined with 80% power and α = 0.005 error margin by power analysis was divided into two groups as equal number of mothers (n = 50) feeding only baby's breast milk (n = 50) and mothers feeding only food (n = 50). The research data were collected in 2018-2019 after the approval of the ethics committee. Data were collected in the Konya Karatay 12 Nolu Uluırmak ASM, Konya Karatay 16 Nolu Sedirler ASM, Konya Meram 29 Nolu Abidin Saniye Erçal ASM, Konya Meram 76 Nolu Mamuriye ASM, Taşkent Balcılar ASM, Taşkent Merkez ASM. The data of the study were collected using the “Personal İnformation Form”, “Individual Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index” (PSQI) and “Checklist Individual Strength” (CIS). The data were collected by face-to-face interview technique.

The significant relationship was found between working status and how the baby was fed (p<0.05). The significant relationship was found between smoking habits and how the baby was fed (p<0.05). The significant relationship was found between where the baby was fed overnight and how the baby was fed (p<0.05). Sleep quality of mothers does not differ significantly according to how the baby is fed (p <0.05). Mothers' subjective perception of fatigue, concentration, motivation, physical activity, fatigue level total score does not differ significantly according to how the baby is fed (p <0.05). The physical activity scores of the mothers who breastfeed their baby show a significant difference according to the number of children (p<0.05). The subjective fatigue perception scores of the mothers who fed their baby bottlefeeding show a significant difference according to the age variable (p<0.05). The education level of the spouse was related to the motivation level of the mothers feeding their baby with a bottle (p <0.05). Sleep quality was lower in mothers who had sleep problems during pregnancy and who feeding the baby breastfeeding and the bottlefeeding (p <0.05).
Conclusion: There was no significant difference in the quality of sleep and fatigue level between the among mothers feeding the baby breastfeeding and the bottle feeding.
