geleneksel teknikler, başarılı giderim verimine imkan vermemektedir. Seyreltik
The removal and recovery of heavy metals from industrial process solutions has
received great attention in recent years because of more stringent legistations for the
protection of environment. Most heavy metals are very toxic and cause great
environmental damage.
The conventional techniques for the removal of metal ions abatement such as
hydroxide precipitation or direct electroreduction do not allow sufficient removal
efficiency. Hybrid systems combining ion-exchange with electrodialysis for the
removal of metal ions from dilute solutions has received great attention.
In this study, the removal of copper and nickel ions from dilute solutions under
applied potential by using hybrid ion-exchange-electrodialysis process is examined.
This process involves the use of electrodialysis type three-compartment cell in which
the centre compartment is filled with a packed bed of ion exchange particles.
The removal efficiency, current yield, energy consumption and molar flux were
determined as a function of applied potential, metal concentration, pH, temperature and
flow rate. In addition, the effect of ion-exchage resin was investigated.
