Denenen
karısımların katı verimleri bilesenlerin saf haldeki katı verimlerinin cebirsel toplamına
hemen hemen esit bulunmustur.
In this study, pyrolysis of pine bark as a renewable energy source and Seyitömer
lignite as a fossil energy source and co-pyrolysis of the bark and lignite mixtures were
investigated in a fixed bed reactor.
During the experiments, heating rate, particle size and inert gas flow rate was kept
constant. Experiments were conducted under N2 atmosphere at the pyrolysis
temperatures of 450°C, 650°C and 850°C. In the co-pyrolysis experiments, the ratio of
pine bark to lignite (ÇK/SL) were selected as 1/2, 1/1, 2/1, 3/1 in weight. The methylene
blue adsorption capasities and iodine numbers of the chars were determined. In
addition, scanning electron microscope photos of the chars were taken and BET surface
areas were measured.
Results shows that the char yields of the pure samples were decreased when the
pyrolysis temperature is raised. The char yield of the mixtures were almost equal to the
sum of individual char yields of pure materials. According to the char yields of
mixtures, co-pyrolysis has no synergic effect on the char yields.
The iodine numbers of the chars obtained from the lignite, pine bark and the
mixtures of ÇK/SL=1/1 and ÇK/SL=2/1 at the pyrolysis temperature of 450°C and
850°C were in the range of 19,24-38,48 mg/g. The methylene blue adsorption capacity
was the highest for the original pine bark and the lowest for the char obtained from pine
bark pyrolyzed at 850°C. The surface area of the original lignite, pine bark and their
chars obtained at 450°C pyrolysis temperature are very low. At the pyrolysis
temperature of 850°C, the surface area of the pine bark char was more increased.
