In this study, 5 wt % organozeolite containing polymer/filler nanocomposites prepared via solution bending method. The purpose of this study to obtain new materials which has a homogeneous distribution of filler layers in the polymer matrix and with superior properties compared to conventional composites. Therefore, the dispersive component of the surface energy of materials and components were determined by inverse gas chromatography (IGC) at the infinite dilution region. The experimental results indicate that dispersive component of the surface energy values of studied materials gradually decreased with increasing column temperature which is consistent with the fundamental concept of Gibbs free energy. Those surface properties which are very difficult or even impossible to characterize with other common methods are important for the evaluation of potential interactions of polymers, polymer composites, and its different components. Then changes in the structure of the nanocomposite materials and its components were interpreted from the spectrums obtained from Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Support (filler) material distribution in nanocomposites was determined from x-ray diffraction diffraction (XRD) pattern and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) pattern.
