Çalışma, dünya dillerinde bulunan çokluk ve topluluk yapılarının Eski
Türkçedeki gelişimini incelemek için oluşturulmuştur. Çokluk ve topluluk yapısının
Türkler tarafından ne zamandan itibaren kullanılmaya başlandığı, bu yapının Eski
Türkçedeki durumu, çokluk ve topluluk yapısının eklerle mi yoksa kelimelerle mi
kullanıldığı, eklerle yapılan çoklukların hangi anlamlara sahip olduğu, bu anlamları
koruyup koruyamadıklarını irdelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, Köktürk
dönemi, Uygur dönemi ve Karahanlı dönemi eserleri incelenmiştir. Ġncelemeler
sonucunda da çokluk ve topluluk yapılarının, ekler ve kelimeler ile yapıldığı, çokluk
eklerinin +lAr, +t ve +s ekleri olduğu, topluluk eklerinin ise +An ve +AgU/+AgUn
şeklinde görüldüğü tespit edilmiştir. Çokluk yapısının Köktürk yazıtlarında daha çok
sözlüksel ifadelerle yapıldığı, çokluk ve topluluk ifadesi için birden fazla ekin
kullanıldığı, Uygur Türkçesinden itibaren ise, ek sayısının azaldığı, +lAr çokluk
ekinin ise kullanımının genişlediği görülmüştür. Türk dilinde ilk önce topluluk
yapısının olduğu daha sonra, yerleşik yaşama geçilmesiyle birlikte çokluk ifadesinin
ortaya çıktığı izah edilmiştir.
This study was made to analyze the development of plural and collective
forms, found in all the world‟s languages, in Old Turkish. The study was designed to
examine the development of the plurality structure of the world languages in the Old
Turkic. The situation in the Old Turkic has been explored since the time when the
plurality and the collectivity forms started to be used by the Turks. It was done in
order to investigate the forms of plurality and collectivity, whether it was used with
suffixes or words and what meanings are possessed by the suffixes and whether they
can protect them. In the study, the works of Köktürk period, Uygur period and
Karahanlı period were examined. As a result of the examinations, it is determined
that the the plurality and collectivity forms are made with the suffixes and words.
Plurality suffixes is determined that +lAr, +t and +s; also collectivity suffixes; +An
and +AgU/+AgUn. It is seen that the forms of collectivity is made more lexical
expressions in the Köktürk inscriptions, and more suffixes are used for the plurality
and collectictivity expression. From Uighur Turkish, it is seen that the number of
suffixes is decreasing while that of +lAr multiplicity is expanding. It is known that in
the Turkish language, first the collective forms and then to the settlement of life,
together with the emergence of the expression of plurality.
