In this study, the physical, mechanical and microscopic differences of the foamed concrete are investigated by exposing them to high temperature. Initially, foam concrete specimens prepared by adding foam solution at different volume ratios were exposed to high temperature and tried to determine the best strength performance ratio.
Totally 80 pieces of 15x15x15 cm samples were produced by mixing the foam solution prepared according to TSE K 134 specifications with 0%, 20%, 40%, 60% by volume of cement mortar. After the samples were all kept in the curing pool for 28 days, 3 specimens of 15x15x15cm and 3 specimens of 5x5x5cm were prepared from each group and exposed to temperature effect at 20 ° C, 100 ° C, 400 ° C and 700 ° C for 3 hours. The specimens left to cool for 24 hours at the end of the experiment were subjected to unit weight, ultrasound speed and compressive strength tests. Subsequently, 5cm samples in each experimental group were subjected to digital image processing and analysis, followed by EDX analysis and SEM imaging at 250x, 1500x and 15000x magnification.
According to the results of the experiment, the amount of foam solution, decreases were found concrete compressive strength, ultrasound speed, elasticity modulus decrease. Pore structure in concrete; Dimensional shrinkage at 100 ° C without shrinkage was observed. At later temperatures, an increase in void formation, an increase in void formation due to microfractures.
