Günümüz iş dünyasında seçenek ve alternatiflerin çoğalması ile birlikte, kurumlar arasında rekabet kavramı ortaya çıkmış ve işin kaynağı olan insan faktörü daha da önemli bir hâle gelmiştir. Kadın veya erkek fark etmeksizin iş hayatında başarılı olma isteği, maddi ihtiyaçları için çalışma gereksinimi ve topluma kendini kabul ettirme düşüncesi, rekabeti arttıran boyutlar arasında yer almaktadır. Rekabetin oluşturduğu baskı ile kişiler kendilerini iyi hissetmemekte, çalışma arkadaşlarına karşı farklı davranışlar sergilemektedir. Son yıllarda oldukça sık yaşanılan bir olgu olarak gündeme gelen mobbing kavramı, çalışanın psikolojisini ve sağlığını olumsuz etkilemekte, bu da kurum içinde olumsuz yansımalara kaynaklık etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, kamu kuruluşunda uygulanan mobbing davranışlarının incelenerek, örgüt içinde oluşan kültürün, gözlemlenebilen mobbing davranışları ile ilgisinin olup olmadığını araştırmaktır. Ölçme aracı olarak, Leymann tarafından oluşturulan 20 soruluk mobbing ölçeği ve Hofstede tarafından geliştirmiş olan 20 soruluk örgüt kültürü ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Anket uygulamasında toplam 101 geçerli katılım sağlanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS 22.0 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarına göre mobbing ile örgüt kültürü arasında negatif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu, buna karşın, mağdurların demografik özellikleri ile mobbing arasında anlamlı bir farklılığın olmadığı belirlenmiştir.
In the contemporary business world, with the increase of options and alternatives, the notion of inter-institutional competition has emerged and the human factor which is the source of the work became more important. It makes no difference if it is a male or female worker, the desire of success in the work life, the need of work to meet the material needs and the idea of public recognition are the aspects of the enhancement of competition. With the pressure of competition, the people do not feel fine all the time and may behave in different ways against their co-workers. The notion of “mobbing” which is a newly emerging phenomenon in recent years, affects the psychology and health of the worker negatively, and causes adverse reflection within the business. The objective of this study is to examine the mobbing behaviors in public institutions and to analyze if the institutional culture has anything to do with the mobbing behaviors. As the evaluation instrument the 20 questions scale of mobbing created by Leymann and the 20 questions scale of institutional culture created by Hofstede is used in this study. In the conduction of the questionnaire there are 101 valid participation. The obtained data is analyzed with the SPSS 22.0 program. According to analysis results, the correlation between mobbing behavior and the institutional culture is avoidant and the demography of the sufferers is not relevant to the mobbing behavior.
