Uyarlamalı Hız kontrol Sistemi (Adaptive Cruise Control, ACC) Gelişmiş Sürüş
Destek Sistemlerinin (ADAS) altında yer alan diğer bir teknolojidir. ACC sisteminde,
Adaptive cruise control (ACC) is one of the technologies under Advanced Driver
Assistance Systems (ADAS). The ACC system follows the speed set by driver's
considering the other vehicles in movement direction. Advanced sensor technology and
increasing computational power of embedded systems help widespread of these systems.
ACC system consists of high level control unit, low level control unit, sensing unit,
and human machine interaction (HMI) unit. Conscious level decisions and reference
velocities considering the obstacle in the movement direction are generated in high level
control unit (YSK). Low level control unit (DSK) is responsible for tracking the reference
speed generated by the high level control unit. Sensing subsystem provide the current
vehicle width, velocity and position of the other vehicles in the movement direction. User
is able to set some parameters through human machine interaction unit. To detect the target
vehicle some filters are developed and tested for radar sensor. HMI, radar sensor and speed
sensor data are the inputs of YSK. A finite state machine runs on YSK to define the
running state then calculates the reference speed and sends the DSK. Model Predictive
Control and Fuzzy Logic Control are developed for distance following in distance control
state.
In this study, human machine interaction unit, sensing subsystem, and low level
control units are tested on real vehicles. The high level control unit is developed on Robot
operating system (ROS) and tested on GAZEBO simulation environment that are widely
used for development of autonomous vehicles.
